{ World Champion Magnus Carlsen lost a strange 4 move game against Ding Liren
in the 2020 Chessable Masters semi-final online tournament. This record
short loss was Carlsen's response to Liren's unfortunate loss in the first
game of their two game match. Liren lost an easily drawn game when he was
disconnected from the network. The rules of the online tournament awards a
loss in the event of any disconnection.|Carlsen explained: 'I have immense
respect for Ding as a chess player and as a human being, and ... I think it
was the right thing to do.' } 1. c4 e6 2. g3 Qg5 3. Bg2 Qxd2+ { A terrible and
obviously intended blunder. } 4. Qxd2 { Black resigns. } 1-0
